[WM] Beastmen

Beastmen.  Lots of Beastmen ...
"I cannot believe you when you say [your friend] has identical plastic boxes for his armies, all color coded [...] Don't you think that is being little obsessive?"
"Yes, but not enough to scare us wargamers."

Wow! How long did that lot of beauties take to paint?

These are excellent. It's good to see a lesser spotted army - I particularly like the characters.

Thanks to both of you for your comments.

@andys, the planning and procurement has been going on for many months but once I’d pulled all the minis together the painting only took a couple of months.  Some of them, such as the Beastherd, are pretty simple - just lots of them!  Oh, and I had to buy a fair amount of brown paint ...

Nice army. I like the 'skirmisher' look you have with the model placement on the bases.
Are any of those models converted?

Thank you to both of you.

@Geep, there were some conversions but they were not difficult.  The Copplestone giants were given some Reaper horns and one of them got some Reaper legs.  The Herdkin were easy: a snip-and-bend conversion of the minis holding spears to make them into bows.  The chariots are GW boars, Old Glory Chariots & Eureka crew.  The Tuskgor riders are MagMil boars + Eureka Ogre Beasts.  Beastlord is a Eureka Ogre Beast pinned to a Reaper Dire Boar.

The herdstone with all the weapons looks really cool! Reminds me of the warhammer fantasy herdstone by Paul Sawyer from the white dwarf magazine from 10-15 years ago...
