This is going to be a busy day of posting from me. First this new project, then a question about dauntlesses, and later, a battle report (if I can get my notes cleaned up in time).
I know it’s a bit rough - and extremely unfinished - but here you can see the engine assembly for my Blood Angels battlebarge. The engines themselves are made out of… you guessed it! Tau fusion blasters and missile pods. The fin-like thing extending out from below is an imperial assault cannon. The wings on the side - I’m extremely proud of those - are from a Blood Angels sanguinary guard kit.
Given the scale of those ship, those wings are sheets of ceramite roughly the size of skyscrapers.
Going forward, I’m going to use layers of plasticard to bulk out the central body, with more bits creating an uneven, techy surface above and below. The sides will be taken up by Battlefleet Gothic gun bits.
Anyway, this project is still in a rough stage, and I’m pretty much making it up as I go. I would really love to read the questions and comments of more experienced Battlefleet Gothic scratchbuilders.
