Rules and such
« on: September 19, 2012, 06:58:10 PM »
I played BFG a few years ago with a guy at my local game store who got me started on the game  Now sadly we've both moved away from that state, and I am lacking in the rules.  I know we were using a new system of rules, not the ones on the GW web page.  My question is this, what are the current rules that are being used?  And can I get these in a PDF so I can, hopefully, get a few people at my new store to start playing with me.
Thanks for the help.

Hi,

the rules on the GW website are the current ones, the pdf's are rulebook 1.5 and armada.

Here is the FAQ2010 + Compendium:

(google account needed)

Almost official, most allow it.

We should really sticky post this to avoid repeating ourselves ;D Also, most people use horizon+Sigoroth MMS 1.9b rules for eldar, so you should check those out. And if your feeling creative it seems a lot of people mix in aspects of BFG:R, or battlefleet gothic revised into their rules sets.

Hi,

BFG: Revised
here:
http://www.battlefleetgothicrevised.com/
google docs:
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B1Nr32u9sF3EYWQxMjcxMmItMGU1MS00NzdlLTk1YTktZWQ2MmIwYjU2ZGUz&hl=en

The work is not complete and is on a hiatus.
The Eldar rule system in it are derived from Eldar MMS

For the completeness, Eldar MMS 1.9b:
