I've concluded, upon some considerable reflection, the black figure just looks too darned plain to be played as a gothic ship.

I'd postulate that if you looked at the overwhelming majority of the existing range you'll note that over the surfaces there is a detail density in excess of one change in surface contour per mm. This is a condition that this figure fails at and this, to me at least, strongly implies that it's at a much coarser scale. If someone tried to field this against me, they would at very least get raised eyebrows and a few snide comments if not open mockery.

The Star Wars ship is fine in this regard.

It is only a proxy remember!

Ahhh tron stuff. fun :3

Personally, I love the forgeworld tau stuff, since it shows the sleek and smooth design of the tau's aesthetic.
