Well, well I have some troops but I lack terrain... So I have started to build and finish of some older terrain projects I have started some time ago. In the pictures below the farmbuildings are older pieces that I made and the coaching inn is a building I have started this weekend.

It is fun to create terrain but it is hard to estimate how much you need in Warmaster. As you can see from the pictures I have mounted my buildings on bases and am trying to build a little diorama of the pieces. Many that play Warmaster place there buidings on the board one and one with space for the troops to move past the buildings in neat lines... That seems strange to me since you rarley buid a farmstead with the thought that troops shall be able to move past without trouble  ;) Thats why I am doing bases for my buildings. Troops can still occupy the farmstead for example and defend it, but you as a player have to be a little imaginative about how to solve it in game terms.  ???

My Vietnam project is now done for the year and soon a company of IG to Epic is done. On the table now some Empire Knights have taken place and I am going to start painting them this week. They are going to be Knights of the Blazing Sun and I am also going to paint a new Hero that is going to be A Captain of the Blazing Sun to keep the army togheter nicly.

Well here are some pictures, will return with IG when they are done and also more pictures of my buildings when the are done... the knights will take some time but they will also apear here in time...

The humble start of the main buildings...

Moving around the building.

The door to the main hall in the inn.

To show the scale I placed some troops in front of the building.

A Farmstead with some troops to defend it.

A gyrochopter foto from a dwarf so you can see the lay out of the farmstead.

A burnt down farmstead... base needs doing!

Well that was all for now but I hope I will return soon with more pictures. Until then may you all roll many sixes!

Very nice looking buildings. I'll probably take inspiration from them when I come to making some WM terrain of my own.

A nicely painted Orc as well, although he'll need some friends to tackle all of those buildings...

Well the main buildings are done. Next step is to do the courtyard, forge and stable... Then I will start to paint it all.

Vincent: The roofs on the farmstead buildings are made of old towls that i cut out to a proper size and stuck it to the roof with PVA glue. Then I painted the towl with watered down PVA and let it dry. This makes the towl easier to paint. Not that fancy actually... but it looks nice anyway!

Well a quick update... I could not stop my self and started to paint the coashing inns main buildings. I also am done with the first company of Imperial Guard infantry and will show you some snap shots of them as well. The bases is note done on all of them yet.

First out one photo of the coaching inn. I have still to finish the roof and the back of the houses. But I think that you will get the idea of how it will look when done.

Then two pictures og the Imperial Guard. I am not that happy about how they turned out. Could have gone for more bolder colours like a lighter grey for example. Oh well they are painted anyway and there are more colourful armys that I can paint later like the Eldar for example...

Thats all for now/

Great idea with the towel!!

As to the IG, I think they look quite nice.  The one suggestion I might have to liven them up: some brighter colored flocking, or maybe a colored dry-brushing on the bases.
