[WM] Claus´s various Warmaster pics
« on: August 15, 2010, 06:03:44 PM »
Hi to all of you.

I herewith want to share with you some pics of my painted WM armies/units
Please forgive me the poor photos. I know how to do a good paint job but I´m lousy in making good photos.

So let´s start with WOUNDMARKERS:

I did not do them as you got them initially from GW and I did not yet paint all of them ... just the ones I have in duplicate, triplicate...etc. I added a middle pole and put a large waher(bigger then the woundmarkers) below them ... which is flexible to move....and put numbers from 1 to 9 on it to allow you to be as flexible as you need in counting wounds ;)
But I guess it´s better to let the picture talk for themselves....here the are now:

I also made a pic of my "Hovering SLANN" for the Lizzardmen army. He is an eye catcher with the colours I´ve been chosing to paint him.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Somehow in reality they look all better then on the pic but that´s probably due to my skills in making good photos.
Photos are made from dailight (sun) so you see the shadows

I will continue posting pics from time to time depending on how I find the time to make the photos.

Cheers
Claus

I like that idea.
A detailed how to article may be in order :)

It would seem I have the bug to collect all of these now :(
As do others ;)
I will post a wants/have list over on the trade forum.

Claus,

That's a great idea!  I made some of my own wound markers, but I stopped using them in combat because using them to mark wounds, one wound per counter, got in the way.  The "dial a number" idea would work very well!

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the flowers

Will make a small tutorial how I did it....it´s quite easy to do.

@Black Ed
I had the same issue and were thinking quite a while on how to sovle this problem the best way.....and suddenly I had this good idea and the best is that when fighting vers O&G I use the O&G-woundmarkers, when fighting Empire I use the Empire-woundmarkers..etc.

O.K. as I promised here the next pics.

These are pics of my first Warmaster army - The Tomb Kings.
Pics are not good as I had to do them with Flash-Light and they became to brigth. Also this is only the painted part....still around 15-20 units not yet painted. (Bowmen, Spearmen, Cavalry, Chariots, Carrions, Giants, Sphinxes...etc.)

Here we go.

Tutorial for Woundmarkers will follow later.

Regards
Claus

Great work.
Are you using your scorpion as a proxy or do you have some house rules?
We use the infiltrate rule here with it to spice things up ;)

@Azrael
I just use it as Giant or Sphinx alternate unit.

More pictures of the other painted armies will follow....and maybe I will redo some of the TK army without flash light....for getting better ones.
