Tournament at HISTORICON® 2018 July 14th Lancaster PA

Hey Everyone,

I'm running a BFG Tournament at HISTORICON® 2018 July 14th in Lancaster PA. Prizes and awards for top three players.

1000 pt lists no Planet killers, Hulks, or Blackstone fortresses.

More details and updates later as the date draws near.

Damn, all the way in PA.

Take lots of pictures and post them here afterwards! Make sure people bring lists for you to collect and share with the group; it's been a long time since there have been any tournament reports. I'll be writing up my own in April after Adepticon, but really that's all that ever gets posted.

Just send him a PM on here, he'll answer it eventually. Considering it's been 1500 points since 2007, I doubt it'll change.

Why would you like it to go to 1000?

It allows an extra turn or two in the battles, which is important for slower fleets. Also, that gives slower fleets a chance to actually complete scenario objectives. The other thing is it could give the option of a 4 the battle round which is technically more correct in terms of Swiss pairing for the number of players we usually get. It also keeps people from Fielding hulk's, activated blacksones and planet killers.

While I loved my hulk last year and would be sad to never see such a majestic thing grace the tables of Adepticon again, dropping to 1K would certainly at least bring the possibility of games getting finished. Every game I played and every one I talked to other participants about went to time rather than a natural conclusion.

Back on the original topic: if there's also an Epic event at Historicon (and the timing of the two doesn't conflict) I might just try to make it out there. I'd love to make more gaming cons this year.
