[BFG] Rogue Trader Fleet
« on: February 24, 2016, 07:14:47 AM »
so this is the ringer fleet for Adepticon incase we get an odd number of players. It's a Rogue Trader fleet. I tried my best to make as true as possible to what I thought a Rogue Trader Fleet may look and feel like. They have Kroot Allies. So older Imp gran cruiser designs as you can see from the 2 carnage class cruiser. I wanted to give each ship it's own distinct personality as both carnage cruiser have there own distinct feel. The Kroot warsphere is made from alot of plasticard bits and some twilight Imperium pieces. For the Eldar I wanted a very high contrast color scheme nad the airbrush helped tremendously in that department. Here is the list:

RT veteran captain
RT cruiser(+1 S)
RT Armagedon BATTLECRUISER(+1 S)
Dauntless
ENDEAVOUR
Carnage(targeting array)
Carnage(targeting array)
Kroot Warsphere
4 Escort carriers(+1 carrier w/mines)
5x Fire ships

Auxillary Fleet

ELDARSOLARIS CLASS LIGHT CRUISER

3X Hemlock Class Destroyers
If I do kill you, it'll be from the front, and you'll be armed.

Rogue Trader cruiser: this particular conversion is pretty straightforward it's using parts from resin addict that were donated to me a while back the front portion is the main gun batteries from the Games Workshop plastic line the prowl is also from resin addict and the main body to the cruiser is a light cruiser variant also manufactured by resin addict there some plastic card bits and they're here in there that I've added as filler and gap off of the bridge is also made from plastic card

Escort carriers: the for escort carriers I wanted to kind of look like Q ships they are also converted using Twilight Imperium parts I took two main parts off both the front and rear and port and starboard side then I sanded down each side and took the launch base from the current Games Workshop Battlefleet Gothic sprue  I took a couple of plastic baits to being to make engine parts

Carnage cruisers: I did a lot of shaving off one of the cruisers and some parts of the second cruiser to remove as much of the chaos symbols from the carnage class standard cruiser I then set about to making each carnage looking very distinct I cut down and shaved off both the port and starboard side of the gun battery portions resin addict manufacture is certain types of gun batteries I took two and shaved off 1/3 of each portion fill their wood putty so ask for it to fit on each side I did take random bits from a retribution class starship its bridge and prow bits and made my own pieces from plastic card bits

also have prow variance which are also from resin addict I ended up shaving some of it off and in some to standard cruiser such as the Armageddon class battlecruiser the Kroot warsphere or through again is from Twilight Imperium parts let me know if you got anymore questions
If I do kill you, it'll be from the front, and you'll be armed.
