Are any official updates on their way?
« on: May 19, 2009, 02:45:48 PM »
It seems like MMS has been a work in progress for a long time. It seems like people have agreed that SM are underpowered for a long time (or at least could use some ship options).

Are there likely to be any official changes on these or other subjects in the near future (ie, the next year)?

MMS isn't official. Maybe someday it will. haha. Joking aside, within a week v1.9 of Eldar MMS unofficial house rules will be online.

The Space Marines are in Armada and Armada will be updated in.... 2030?

Maybe Ray can shed some light on official things. But don't get your hopes up on changes to fleets presented in Armada or the Rulebook.

Personally I do think they are in the position to change the rules which are only available online (Rogue Traders, Craftworld Eldar, Nurgle/Terminus Est, Ships of Mars/Adeptus Mechanicus).

They could also release experimental rules for exisiting fleets. Gathering feedback for said updates in ...2030...  :D

I vainly hope that we'll see some poorly thought out new content to tie into the 'PlanetStrike' release, but really, I'm pretty sure that the bean counters will squash any attempts to revise the game as 'uneconomic'.

With the demise of the 'Specialist' Studio, and the fact that these products are not available in official stores, I wonder just who is preventing these ranges from being pulled in their entirety? I'd like to thank my benefactor.
