Homeworld: BFG?

With the release of the updated game on Steam, I started looking to see if miniatures of the ships existed and stumbled across Tempest Shipyards. The ships look decent enough but what really interested me where the custom rules he has up for the Homeworld War and the Beast War. I was curious if better rules mavens than I give me an idea on how balanced the rule set is.

Well, I really like his stuff, despite the obvious and blatant IP infringement of GW. However, the Endeavor and its variants seem really worth it.
