How to make Orks wOrk?

How do you guys make your Ork fleet wOrk?
Or how would you make a Ork fleet wOrk?

I like to take as many Ork Kroozers as possible and rush them up to the enemy and try getting i to boarding action and take may enermy out that way, whil i have some escort flanking, or just supporting my fleet while it's approaching them.

What's your thought? 8)

Have a look on google, some time ago I found a very nice (and effective) article on how to win with orks, basing your fleet on terror (and some killer) kroozer. if I find it and it does not break any forum rule i might post it

Does BFG:R not fix orks?  I honestly have enough respect for the fanmade stuff on this site that i never recommend vanilla to new players.  Its just not an option.

That said, I was working on a version of the ork fleet before i started my own project, the main thing involving a ton of guns and right shift for inaccuracy, like the eldar get a left shift.

What actually wrong with Orks? I have never played with or against them, however there was an Ork player in the last event we ran and they faired reasonably well

Problem with the Orks in the main rulebook and armada was that the game to be effective was to load on Terror Kroozers and leave out escorts. Which was odd for a raiding fleet.
The new 2010 rules for Orks made escorts a pretty good choice in my opinion.

iirc... nope. Heavy, two hit escort, is in the BFG:R fan rules.

I love dem Terror Ships.  My last 2 battles I've fielded as many as I could fill wif lads wif some-fing ta fly.  Days served me right.  We'z showed dem good dat even if day trys day juz Kant keep Da green Man down!
