BFG:R The Final Push
« on: May 14, 2013, 11:49:12 PM »
So, everyone has heard by now of the bad news of the BFG models being discontinued by GW. But! We still have an amazing game and some fantastic models by other companies that can be used. There is no reason to let this game die!

That being said, BFG:R is right near the end. We have almost done it.  ;D And some of the end fleets are some of the less used fleets. However, they should still be looked at just like all the other fleets have been and voted on.

We have the following left:
Orks
Tyranids (just about done)
Battlefleet Bakka (has a committee)
Inquisition
Rogue Traders
Transports and Defences

I would like to ask around for people who are willing to join committees to finish these fleets. Inquisition and Rogue traders seem to need very little work. It's really Orks and Transports and Defences. Who's with me?!  ;D

Well you know Im down for it. Inq is pretty solid atm from what Ive played of them. RT is pretty iffy tho, their ships have unwarranted price increases and theyre saddled with a limited selection. Their compatibility with others is good but unless your taking them with an IN or Tau force it still doesn't make up for some of the downfalls. Defenses are really close, I think the biggest part is just going through and making sure theyre all balanced. Defenses could use better rules for one off games.

I would say Orks and RT are going to need the most work out of these.
I don't make the rules, I just think them up and write them down.

Andrew, what percentage finished with Bakka are you guys? I don't mind working with some people on Inquisition. I'm not very familiar with the Rogue Trader document.

There are very few things I would like yo bring up about Inquisition but that can wait until later.

I think the only hold up now is working on the reserves for Bakka. Everyone seems pretty comfortable with the ships and fleet list.

Awesome. Do you have an estimated amount of time you think it will take? Also, could I request that you head up the Ork group? I think you have a nice grasp on them and Khar does too.

Well we have a couple ideas down for the reserve issue so hopefully we will be able to hash that out shortly. Once that's taken care of its just a matter of posting up the changes to get some feed back from everyone else.

I can look into a group for the Orks, I think the guys on that thread already have a good mix of views and will make a great place to start.

Horizon, I'd be more than willing to help work on the Rogue Traders if you like.

well, as the games we play in my gaming community are always pretty defence-heavy, i can take a closer look at them and maybe work on there...  if that is in order, dunno if this is only for the real long-time veterans or if i can help too...  ;D
Nova Cannons are for these sissies who as a kid too preferred to throw stones at the others from a safe distance rather than closing in and get into a real fight ;D

I offer my help on the subject of Orks.

With most of fleets done and compiled Revised rulebook on the way, all seems better than it's been for a long time ;)

The lists in the initial post still need to be competed. Right now, it seems like Orks are the main one we are finishing.
