Some amazing work being done here - let's keep things rolling. For me I've got a whole lot more scenery to paint up so we can do a truly epic siege game. I'm also dabbling with Daemons - here's my first unit (did a bit more blending on the weapons after looking at this picture!) Just another 5 units of Bloodletters to go...

great unit, will have to try that contrast shaded weapons technique out … i keep telling myself i don't need all the contrast colours, then there's always an excuse for one more …
I've still not really decided what to do next, so as with my ogres at the end of last one, this is another 'random' no army specific bit of hobbying:

Those are terrific Apocolocyntosis! Especially love the base water feature detail!

Great painting, still have not painted mine... one day

And this time trolls … for some reason. Not sure id ever use trolls as -1 command scares me, but proxy for a 2nd ogre unit i guess. Skimmped a bit shading the bone club teef, otherwise nice and quick to do with contrast

I have not tried contrast yet (loath to spend even more on paint when I have plenty already, with washes etc) those look good with contrast -maybe I should stop being so old fashioned :)

Loving the trolls! Such nice models and you've really done them justice.
Here's my latest; a Brigade of Bloodletters, led by a Duke of Hell

Looking good pugwash, always liked that character mini. I've got a bit distracted with a test unit of 10mm napoleonics … then got stuck working out how to base them, got them set out on warmaster bases 4 per base, but that's not quite right …

Similar boat here dragon, resent buying more over priced paint – but they are so fast for WM, i've decided it's worth it. I would say though that you don't need to buy the separate contrast medium that people seem to say is essential, and a lot of the colour are quite close: the dark red and regular red are near identical, wouldn't waste money on both (i mean …i did, but won't again :D)

Contrast all the way for me - well contrast as a base with highlights etc. using normal paints. The only think to be wary of is that the contrast wears harder than usual paints (as it's effectively a glaze) so if applying solo you need to apply more varnish if you use it on big sections.
