I have to say Apocolocyntosis, that Nurgle army is truly spectacular.  A work of art and the best army I've ever seen.

And Clawlessdragon I love the orcs and wolf chariots.  Beautiful work.  Those sculpts are great and you've really done them justice.

Our little group has continued to paint and play, and today we had a game with Dark Elves & Undead vs Araby and High Elves (we're fortunate not to currently have any COVID restrictions).  Here are a couple of shots from the game:

As you might imagine, the Elephant charge went on to punch an elephant sized hold in the Undead infantry  :(

thanks, actually they were gifted to me , so don't know where you can get hold of them. already got enough boar boys but enjoyed the challenge of doing war paint on both the riders and boars

Inspired by the amazing work of Apocolocyntosis - although noting my own efforts won't come cloise to the creative perfection of the Nurgle circus, my next army is likely to be Daemons:

Trying out some base techniques - every day is like 'the floor is lava' for these guys  :D

Thanks, it's surprisingly quick and easy (just google creating lava bases with Citadel Mordant earth).  I wasn't sure it would work at 10mm but it's coming up pretty well.  Hopefully be able to post a full unit picture on the weekend.

Always experimenting, this is a base of Stormhost silver, a targeted wash of Earthshade, then another of Gryph-Charger Grey and then a final highlight of Stormhost.

Time to add some Wolf Riders this month :) 5 units painted up - you may notice some larger riders dotted around, these are Copplestone orc riders - I goblinized them by sculpting faces, hats and shields to match the other riders and created new standards

in case it is helpful for someone who is thinking of using copplestone figs as alternative wolf riders, here are some shots of the conversions.

Snazzy, i was thinking there was an interesting hint of browns and blues in it … so that would explain that.

Those look great clawless, really nice wolf figures and bright paintjobs … and 5 units in a month is enviable!

Just finished a unit of Ogres with a partial Golgfag mercenary RoR conversion command stand. Not full whack on the conversions, but added in some key elements like the drummer, golgfag's helmet, and the standard bearer:

That is some very nice, clean and detailed work on the wolf riders Clawlessdragon!  I've painted many myself and I really admire the wolf scheme you've used.

Apocolocyntosis those Ogres are fantastic!  The conversions really make some pretty awesome original sculpts look interesting and characterful!

Off to start the March topic!
