Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much on the forums. I've been away from the hobby for a few months and have largely migrated to the active FB groups and Discord for most of my direct engagement regarding XR and BFG:2020.
In any case, I'm gathering people's thoughts on Eldar mechanics, so that I can update BFG:XR to better match what the wider BFG community wants. Obviously, MMS and MSM are pretty contentious topics, with passionate supporters on both sides, and I'm hoping with enough data I can find a middle ground that is palatable to most people.
The survey can be found here: BFG:XR Eldar MMS vs MSM Survey (https://forms.gle/51ZqwuhZZSa8rnpv8)
(If you have already seen the survey on FB or Discord and submitted an answer, no need to take it again - you have my thanks instead!)

Post it on Reddit as well.

I have no clue on facebook. I have no account (nor will I create one).
But on reddit the BFG:XR players, which seem a larger part, seem to like MMS, dunno for sure.
As a developer for Eldar MMS my view will be kinda, yeah, right.
But when someone starts the game I will always tell them to use the official rules first. If they don't like official things only then start delving into fanmade stuff.
If you want a middle ground you can always go:
Corsair Eldar : MSM (this will be largest group of players anyway)
Craftworld Eldar : MMS
Dark Eldar : as is.
Three different vibes.

Thanks for the input as always horizon. The middle ground of offering different movement styles for the Corsair/Craftworld fleets is definitely something on the table.

A second option would be to use the official rules and make a general note on Eldar that if players agree it can be opted to change to the MMS ruleset. In which you put up a link to an extra pdf with the Eldar MMS 1.9b ruleset (adapted or unadapted to XR as you wish).
