Title: Tale of Warmaster Painters: July 2020
Post by: Stormwind on July 05, 2020, 10:13:57 PM
Getting on for finishing these knights!

Not sure I have the confidence to try and freehand the banner but we'll see.

I am cheating a bit by doing the elite units of my Empire army first, but it feels to me like if I can say 'I've done 9 blister packs worth' it feels good and encourages me to do more!

Thanks for getting us started Stormwind, those knights are looking great!  Painting big Warmaster armies can absolutely be a motivation game - especially with how many halberdiers they crowd into a single strip!

I've all but finished the orc boar riders, but the only picture I managed to take over the weekend was for the Wizard Tower, which will feature as the main objective in our next game.

Oh, nice!  I remember trying to get a recast of that years ago but alas it didn't come to anything.

Great Knights as always! Ditto the tower.

My contribution hails from Westeros.

Very nice!  Does he need a breastplate stretcher? =P

With a hammer that big, he'll need a truss!

Supposedly "a war hammer of such immense size that his friend Ned Stark could not wield it".

I'm sure Ned said something like "mate, are you overcompensating for something?"

Posting the first 2k of my Orc and Goblin Waaagh a couple of weeks before it's first outing at Call to Arms.  The Wyvern is still being finished  :)

Oh wow that's wonderful!  I bet it feels really satisfying seeing it laid out like that!

Very satisfying!  Except for the part where there is another 2k left to paint  ;)
