I thought I'd best start a thread!
This is my desk at the minute. The very kind Industrial Trousers gave me some spare flagellant bits as my blister was short a strip!
Sometimes I find the busy work of gluing and prepping stuff is a break from concentrating on painting.
The next unit I actually finish will probably be the Knights, there.

It wasn't me boss. I have some somewhere but can't think where I've put them so it must be some other helpful forum member.

Looks like some exciting times ahead Stormwind. I've now finally finished my Forest Goblins and am on to the night Goblins

And I've also started to upgrade my Warmaster scenery (this building from Total Battle Miniatures)

Oh, sorry, got you confused, I meant Empire Addict supplied me the bits, thank you!
Lovely gobbos, Pugwash, and some nice TBM stuff - is that in the 6mm scale? I bought some at 10mm but I'm thinking I should have followed my friends advice and got the 6mm stuff for how it looks on the table.
-
I went for the 10mm range also, and I'm pretty happy with the sizing (pic below with human handgunners outside). I do note that the Total Battle range is mostly 2 story buildings (or higher), so for my farms/rural scenery I'm using the Battle Scale range of cottages and the like. But I do like that the TBM town layout easily allows a unit to move down the street.

Pugwash, those are great looking goblins. Love the banners.
-
My painting work has edged forward in fits and starts. Just finished some WM Medieval units. Kingdom of Poland Nobles.
-
Those are superb! Can't believe the chequered flag!
-
Nor me! It started off as an experiment. Created a grid with a very old brush that only had a few bristles remaining. After that it was fairly straightforward. Would I do it again? Perhaps not; bit stressful.
-
great painting all and good to see forrest gobbos!
-
I've been so exhausted by work I haven't been able to concentrate on painting for a bit. So I cleared my desk and made myself do 'grunt work' of prepping, gluing, basing, undercoating some more Empire. Makes me realise how long it takes to do anything in this hobby, ha ha.
-
Added some crossbows and artillery to the WMM Kingdom of Poland. Just need to levy some peasants and the army will be ready.
-
Really nice work!
-
Haven't done the banner but I feel these mostly done! I want to get some Sisters of Battle five petal rose transfers then paint them dark grey. I don't think I could freehand it on both sides and have it consistent enough not to bug me!
Experimenting with some schemes for a third knight unit but they aren't looking how I want them to which is frustrating.
-
they're very tidy. how did you do the red? wash/ink over Orange?
-
That would have been more logical I think, ha ha!
I used Vallejo Heavy Red for the darker one then Gory Red over the top, I think?
The main reds like the feathers were Mephiston Red, washed w/ Agrax Earthshade, then drybrushed Evil Sunz Scarlet then Wild Rider Red.
-
Those knights and their banners are superb empireaddict! Those cheques are amazing!
Also loving the knights Stromwind, look forward to seeing them with their finished banner fluttering. Is this a new Empire for or adding to an old one?
The weather here has been grey and raining for the last two weekends so I don't have any snaps to share yet - Night Goblins are done and now it's on to the Boar Boyz and plenty more terrain.
We have an event planned in early August, so ideally I'll be able to field 2k of the Orcs by then.

Stormwind, love the feathers. But the dark armour also works well as a contrast. Nice work.
