Title: Warmaster Siege rules - ideas, house rules, Dos and Don'ts
Post by: Draccan on October 06, 2014, 12:25:28 PM

Hi there

As some of you know from my other thread I am building a large castle and some large WM armies at the moment and I am starting to prepare mentally for the first few sieges. For rules I think the main rulebook(s) are lacking, so I have turned my attention to Warmuster Magazine #2.

Have anyone actually tried to play with these rules? Dos and Don'ts? And generally are there house rules that you play with or suggest one should play with?

I would love any information, tidbits, great links, battle reports and sharing of actual experiences with sieges that you guys have.

Cheers

My 2 cents: A siege battle report and some considerations about sieges here

That's a nice report and cool tomb king castle jchaos! Thanks for sharing!

Does anyone who has read and tried the Warmuster Siege rules know how to interpret the fortification size.
A Gateway Tower has 25 structure points but it is also mentioned to be 40mm in size. Most Gateway Towers including my Kallistra ones are much wider than that. Does that mean a gateway that is 120mm wide has 75 structure points? Or does it mean you can destroy a portion of it. Or should they just be assumed to be 40mm wide?
I find this part a tad bit confusing. Because the larger the fortification piece the more troops you lose when it break, so it does matter.

Anyone got something here?
