I have heard a rumour that the next WMA will be WM napoleonics?
DOes anyone know if this is correct?
-
There has been rumour about this. As far as I am aware, it is in the pipe, but is probably at least 12 months off... And, yes, I am waiting for my NappyMaster too!
-
I believe so, that's what the guys running the Waterloo game at Games Day were saying.
-
Has anyone heard anything further? Perhaps at Salute recently?
NappyMaster could be great if it combined the fast play and command structure of warmaster with the epic napoleonic battles. Imo the major failing of most napoleonic systems to date is the prevelance of bookkeeping in them, you spend more time ammending lists than playing, warmaster has zero paperwork which is a big plus in my book.

Just use Black Powder. It's written by Rick and is almost the same as Warmaster anyway.
-
I havent come across Black Powder, ill check it out, thanks for the tip.

Black Powder Rules (http://www.warlordgames.co.uk/?page_id=3177)
It's a great rules set, though it isn't Warmaster. I'm also intrigued by this rumor!

If you go to the Historical Wargames weekend on the 22-23rd of May at Warhammer World you'll be able to play NappyMaster... You'll need to be quick in buying a ticket though, and the site is linked to through Rick's website.

Wow, thats a lot more concrete than I was even hoping for, however I wont be able to attend that event.
Is there anyone going who could get as much info as possilbe please?
-
BUMP
Did anyone go and if they did, what did they find out?
I suppose WH Historicals is pretty "dead" now with regard to future output so can we kiss Naps goodbye?
Our group is going to check out the 'Hail Ceasar' rules when they come out.

For Napoleonics, take a look at http://testofbattle.com/drupal-4.7.4/node/27
Also, Napoleon's Battles recently got re-released.

An excellent system when AH first released it, and likely still top-notch.
Command Decision is also very good for WWII.
